Tar Heel Chapter PRSA - Connecting to Success! Presentation.

After an exciting dinner with the group of speakers lined up to share the stage tomorrow at the Annual PRSA NC Tar Heel Chapter Seminar - Connecting To Success, I'm even more honored to be a part of this year's presenters.

Here's our schedule for tomorrow:

Tonight I truly enjoyed meeting Mike Foley, Robert T. Youngblood, and Jennifer Curtis. Tomorrow will be a fantastic day - I can just FEEL it.

Wish me "Break A Leg!"

Drop Box Rules and You're Invited

I am a big fan of Dropbox. Drop Box is an online storage and file management system. Your account is free and comes with 2 GB of free storage.

By downloading the free software, your PC or Laptop is connected to the Dropbox 'cloud.' When you save a file to your local folder, a copy is saved in the 'cloud.' Each time you log on to your computer, the files in your folder are synced. Here's where it gets fun. Download Dropbox on another computer or get the free app for your mobile device and your saved files are synced and accessible from every device. I can even access everything from the web using most any browser and my account log-in information.

Dropbox also allows you to create public folders to share your files with others. Have a large file that is a problem to email? Place it in Dropbox and then simply share the link to it with a friend.

Feel free to visit Dropbox and take it for a spin!

Great video. Content and presentation are worth viewing...many times.

Gmail User Tip - Grouping Unread Emails

So, for months now I've been plagued by 3 unread messages in my Gmail box. I couldn't find the darn things and the idea of surfing page by page through 12 years of emails just didn't seem practical.

So, here's the fact I learned today. If you want to view all of your unread emails, from all filters, at once, simply type "is:unread" (without the quotes) into your search field and click  Search Mail. Then just coast through the list. I'm so happy!!!

Why I like Google's Web Browser - Chrome

Chrome is Google's web browser. It has been out for some time now and I've been using it about 3 years. I like Chrome. Why? Well how nice of you to ask... Here are 7 things I like about Google Chrome.

1. Chrome has a radically cool logo. Let's just face it, this is a logo worthy of T-Shirt real-estate.

.
2. Chrome uses gears which is a cool technology used to make cars  go and, apparently, make browsers more secure with the ability to "run faster and jump higher" (can you guess the ad reference?) while running complex web based apps.

3. Chrome follows me everywhere I go (like a cute puppy) and remembers  my bookmarks and settings on every  computer I use. It's magic that happens when you use the iGoogle login feature and settings.

4. Chrome is taunting the Microsoft Giant and making headway in the industry (see link). Go little Chrome go!

5. Chrome has more personalities than Sybil (historical reference to a popular book/film from the 70s) and can switch designs and layouts with my mood (not that I'm moody or anything).

6. Chrome is perpetually new (insert fountain of youth reference here) issuing  regular updates and fixes.

7. Chrome is open source and what is not to like about open source software?

So, if you're ready for some fresh browser fun, try Google's Chrome.

Wait... there's 8. Chrome just sounds like something you would want more of... Chrome on your car, Chrome for your grill...
